Resources That I Used For Anatomy In Med School

Resources That I Used For Anatomy

Med school is not everyone's cup of tea. It requires a lot of sacrifices like loneliness, boring books, hectic lecture schedules, a lot of subjects and courses, and limited socialization. In the last two years of med school, I have come across a lot of resources for every subject.

Here, I will share resources regarding Anatomy only, particularly Gross-anatomy. Every student has their own choice of studying method, and that also means he or she will also require resources according to that method.

Here are the resources that I personally used, and some of the resources are recommended by friends and colleagues.

1. Books

Books are the most recommended resources from every teacher, and college itself. Coz, these are also the major source of different lectures that we access in different platforms like YouTube.

Some of the major books are Grays Anatomy, KLM, BD Chaurasia, Snell's Anatomy, and more. Also, there are short review books like BRS. For visualization, Netter's atlas is also there.

2. Visualization

For visualizing the human body, there is an application named "Anatomy 3d Atlas" that visualizes every system of the body from organs to the nerves.

You can read the topic from a book or any lecture, and then visualize that through this application. It will increase the imagination power, which is all needed for remembering Anatomy.

3. TeachMeAnatomy

It's an application and a website, that explains almost every topic of anatomy in a very simple way, that's why I personally used it for almost 45% of topics and used it to revise all stuff before exams.

The developer has categorized the topics in an excellent systemic way so that you can also clear the topics in systemic modules. This app also has mcqs integration for every topic, which helps to evaluate yourself after completing the topic.

4. AnatomyZone Lectures

It's a YouTube channel, that has excellent lectures with an easy demonstration that also helps in memorization of topics. I personally completed my Locomotor system from it, and that's why I passed the exams.

It was my only resource for the locomotor system, here I did complete bones, muscles, their blood supply, and nerve supply too.

5. Prepladder Anatomy Lectures

I personally have not watched them, but one of my friends suggested these lectures. He was amazed by the way they were teaching anatomy. His concepts were cleared with the lectures he had seen. He watched Complete Head and Neck from Prepladder Lectures.

6. Ninja Nerd Lectures

Ninja Nerd is the only YouTube channel, which I recommend to every med student, not only for Anatomy but for all subjects which he teaches. His demonstration and teaching capability are extraordinary.

I love his drawing skills like how he draws everything on board just to make students understand in an easy and better way. He not only teaches but tries to memorize points for us.

7. Some Other Resources

These are the resources that either I didn't use personally or used for particular topics but listened to them from friends and colleagues.

  • Dr. Najeeb Lectures (Website)
  • Selfless Medicose (YouTube)
  • The Noted Anatomist (YouTube)
  • Marrow Lectures (Application)
  • Dr. Viren Kariya (YouTube)
  • ENMEDER (YouTube)
  • Brainless Medicose (YouTube)
  • Dr. Samit Gupta (YouTube)

Wrap-Up

If any of the resources have helped you, then just like, comment, and share it with your friends and colleagues. This will boost my confidence in writing these blogs.

If you wanna have a blog on any particular topic, just comment or email your topic, the next blog will be all about that.
